Acting With Bingley Little Theatre

Bingley Little Theatre are the inhouse production organisation that put on at least 8 main stage plays, a musical and numerous Studio productions every year.

Whether you’re drawn to the energy of a big main stage production or the creative freedom of new and experimental work, Bingley Little Theatre offers opportunities for actors of all backgrounds and experience levels. We are always on the lookout for new talent and would love to hear from you.

Bingley Little Theatre very much welcomes, and actively encourages, expressions of interest from actors and directors of any ethnicity.

Bingley Little Theatre Productions

Our BLT main season brings a rich and varied programme to our audiences each year, from well-loved classics and recognisable titles to contemporary drama and comedy. Productions are ambitious, rehearsed to a high standard, and performed in our Main Auditorium or Theatre Upstairs.

If you’re interested in being considered for the BLT main season acting or directing roles, we’d love to hear about your experience and interests. We run 4 to 5 audition evenings per year and cast our productions roughly 9 months in advance. If you are interested in acting please get in touch with us – we’d love to hear from you. Directing at Bingley Little Theatre

Directing at Bingley Little Theatre is a hugely rewarding opportunity to shape a production from first read-through to opening night. We are always keen to hear from experienced directors, and equally from those with a background in theatre who are looking to develop their directing skills for the first time.

Directors are appointed by the Reading & Casting Committee in consultation with our Artistic Director, and work across both our main stage season and studio programme. Whether you’re drawn to the scale and spectacle of a main stage production or the creative freedom of the studio – new writing, experimental work, scratch nights – there’s a place for your vision at BLT.

Studio Productions

Our studio space is where BLT gets adventurous. Studio productions champion new writing, experimental theatre, and scratch nights, an ideal environment for actors and directors who want to push boundaries, try out bold ideas, or develop their craft in a more intimate setting.

The studio is a place of creative risk-taking, and we warmly welcome those who are earlier in their acting journey as well as those with plenty of experience behind them.
