Set in the beautiful Aire Valley, if you are looking for a meeting room, somewhere to stage a production, a rehearsal space or your own event or party, we’ve got you covered.
Event spaces
In addition to our theatre programme, we are home to a variety of arts-related events including live music, comedy, visiting theatre companies, writers’ groups, courses and fairs. We have a range of fantastic spaces available for hire. From our wonderful performance spaces to our bars and café areas with fully equipped kitchens.
Viewing can be arranged at any time by appointment.
Terms and conditions are available on application to the Arts Centre Office 10.00am to 1.00pm Monday to Friday.

Main Theatre Complex
- 355 seater auditorium with proscenium stage and retractable seating bank, which offers standing for 450 audience
- Foyer with Box Office facilities.
- Bar area with servery to small kitchen able to offer teas and coffees and light refreshment plus a sweet and ice-cream kiosk. The bar area and auditorium can be opened to make a large area suitable for music/dance gigs or community events.
- Four comfortable dressing rooms with toilet and showers.
Theatre Upstairs
- A flexible space accommodating up to 100.
- Situated upstairs and comprising a large principal room with proscenium stage which can be enlarged with an apron.
- Seating bank available if required.
- Smaller adjacent room leading to a large commercial kitchen.
- Licensed Bar area which can be opened up to make a large dining/ entertaining space.
- Full disabled access and toilets.
Squires Room
- A large first floor room with seating accommodation for up to 50.
- It has a small kitchenette suitable for preparing teas, coffees and cold snacks.
- Corporate style room layout if required.
- Please note there is no disabled access.
Lounge
- Flexible room.
- Seating for 65 cabaret style.
- Full bar.
- Used stand alone or with the Main Stage.
- Wall can be removed, seating taken out to create a large exhibition/dance space.
Props
Over the years we have acquired a huge selection of furniture and smaller items of bric-a-brac; tables, bureaus and chairs for dressing a set through to walking sticks, suitcases and cigarette lighters for use as personal props.

Wardrobe
The wardrobe department can offer you a selection of quality costumes in a variety of styles throughout the ages.
