Stage 84 present Sister Act
Saturday 21 July
2:00pm and 7:15pm
Following previous productions including Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Oliver & Starlight Express, the award-winning Stage 84 return to Bingley Arts Centre with their 2018 Edinburgh Festival Fringe production of Sister Act. The show will run for only 2 performances on Saturday 21 July prior to a transfer to Edinburgh this August.
Sister Act is the feel-amazing musical comedy based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony and 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin, Little Shop Of Horrors) and sensational dance routines and songs.
When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, Deloris soon finds herself at odds with both the uptight Mother Superior and the rigid lifestyle. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church. In doing so, she not only helps her fellow sisters to find their voices, but unexpectedly rediscovers her own.
A sparkling show filled with powerful gospel music, huge dance numbers and a truly moving story presented by Stage 84 - The Yorkshire School of Performing Arts, Sister Act is a FABULOUS night out!
