Bingley Little Theatre STUDIO - Presents 2 short plays
GARLIC LANE by John Waddington-Feather & CHEAT by Edwards and Gaul
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October at 7:30pm - Studio entrance at side of building
GARLIC LANE - a play by Keighley author John Waddington-Feather, ‘ Directed by Tony Reavill. Based on Lawkholme Lane in Keighley, where the author was brought up in the 1940s and '50s, Garlic Lane captures the spirit of a strong, close-knit Community life with its churches and chapels, pubs and choirs, brass bands and glee clubs, pigeon and dog racing - and a rugby league team!
And CHEAT—by Edwards and Gaul. Monologues written and performed by Kaleidoscope members. Six of our Kaleidoscope members form the cast of this one-act play, playing several different characters with humour and poignancy. Directed by Sally Edwards. A group of teenagers have been gathered together, as it is believed that one of them has cheated in an exam. As they await the Headteacher’s interrogations (some with nerves, some with bravado) the audience get an insight into their lives as they share their own personal stories.
